September at the  Marine Rescue Training Centre is one of the most busy months for its employees because of “Candidate’s courses” organized for few hundreds of future Maritime University’s students. The students take a part in Basic Safety Training which includes: Personal Survival Techniques, Basic Fire-Fighting, Elementary First Aid, Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities. Apart from lectures, the course also consists of practical exercises in the open air.
To make one of the Fire-Fighting courses, organized on 14.09., more attractive, the MRTC (by courtesy of the State Fire Service in Szczecin), organized a display of fire-fighting equipment – a property of the Rescue and Fire-Fighting Unit no.1.

The trainees had a great opportunity to see rescue and fire-fighting vehicle (make: SCANIA, model: GCBA 8,5) and its equipment. Firefighters answered all questions asked by participants and presented how to operate the vehicle.  The display became a highlight of the course.

The Marine Rescue Training Centre would like to thank a District Commander of the State Fire Service in Szczecin Brigadier Jacek Staśkiewicz for a kind cooperation.
